We've got word that we'll be adding another station in the next couple of weeks in Eastern Washington! We can't formally announce which station we are adding yet - but we are thrilled to be sharing an hour of outdoors fun every week with a whole bunch of new listeners who just happen to live in an area rich with recreational opportunities!

John Kruse will be one of several speakers offering free seminars at the Washington Trails Association annual TRAILSFEST event taking place from 10 AM to 4 PM on July 18th at Rattlesnake Lake near North Bend, WA.

GREAT PLACES - WASHINGTON, a 512-page guidebook meant to be your "go-to" reference guide for outdoors recreation in The Evergreen State, is at the printers now. Chuck Johnson, President of Wilderness Adventures Press, expects the book will be hitting bookstores, select sporting goods retailers and Costco Stores in Washington by the end of June or early July.

We have received late word that our show has garnered a 3rd Place and Honorable Mention Award in the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association's annual Excellence in Craft contest for Best Audio/Video Show of 2008. A double dose of good news came in yesterday. Not one - but two - new stations will be carrying Northwestern Outdoors to listeners in Eastern Washington.
Money Talk 1230 KSBN will be air the show Sundays at 2 PM, right after Gun Talk with Tom Gresham. Listeners in Spokane, Deer Park and Cheney will get to hear a regional outdoors show for the first time since Chuck De Bruin's show went off the air in the Spokane Market a couple of years ago.

We are happy to welcome Classic Oldies 1400 - KLCK as our newest affiliate to carry Northestern Outdoors!
