Northwestern Outdoors Radio is thrilled to announce we are expanding again! Starting this weekend, KXLY AM 920, one of Spokane’s most listened to stations, will be carrying the show every Saturday at 7 AM. KVNI 1080, a well established station in Couer d’ Alene, Idaho, will also air the show Sunday evenings at 6 PM. Northwestern Outdoors Radio is now being broadcast 13 times every weekend on 11 different stations throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho in towns like Spokane, Wenatchee, Omak, Republic, Ellensburg, The Dalles, Goldendale, Pullman, Moscow, Chelan, Couer d’ Alene and Centralia.

Northwestern Outdoors Radio, hosted by John Kruse, began broadcasting in late 2007 from its flagship station, 560 KPQ, a Cherry Creek radio station located in Wenatchee, Washington. NORTHWESTERN OUTDOORS RADIO CONTINUES TO GROW!

Beginning January 10^th, Northwestern Outdoors Radio will be heard ten times every weekend on eight different stations in the Pacific Northwest. KOZI (AM- 1230/ FM 93.5) Community Radio in Chelan is the latest affiliate station to pick up Northwestern Outdoors, and will be airing the show Sundays at 6 AM not only in the Chelan, Methow and Okanogan Valleys, but also online.

We have received late word that our show has garnered a 3rd Place and Honorable Mention Award in the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association's annual Excellence in Craft contest for Best Audio/Video Show of 2008. The entries, both broadcast last fall, were among several judged by professional writers from an outdoor writers association in another part of the United States to assure objectivity. We are thrilled to receive these awards, especially given the fact that the other winners are well established experts in this field.

Northwestern Outdoors (formerly known as The Great Outdoors) has been on airing on its flag ship station, 560 KPQ - Wenatchee, since August of 2003. John Kruse has hosted the show since October of 2007 and recently the show has expanded. Northwestern Outdoors is now broadcast nine times a week on seven stations throughout Eastern Washington.

As happy as we are about this - we don't plan on resting on our laurels. We'll continue to put together a fast paced, informative show covering a wide variety of outdoors activities with a focus on the Northwest east of the Cascade Mountains. We will be shooting for the First Place award next year and trust you'll enjoy our efforts to get there.

Money Talk 1230 KSBN will be air the show Sundays at 2 PM, right after Gun Talk with Tom Gresham. Listeners in Spokane, Deer Park and Cheney will get to hear a regional outdoors show for the first time since Chuck De Bruin's show went off the air in the Spokane Market a couple of years ago.

In Central Washington, listeners in Ellensburg and Cle Elum will be able to catch Northwestern Outdoors Sundays at 11 AM on KXLE 1240. With the Yakima River flowing by these towns, there is alot of outdoors recreation at their doorstep.

The show has gone from one station to seven in the last six months, but we will continue to keep bringing you programming that focuses on the region you live and play in. Starting March 21st, the show can be heard on KLCK from Goldendale, Washington to The Dalles in Oregon every Saturday at 12:05 PM! KQQQ 1150 AM will begin airing Northwestern Outdoors on Sundays at 5 AM! Program Director announced the addition of the show today, indicating it will begin airing in March of 2009. This is exciting news because a whole new group of listeners in Pullman, Colfax and Clarkston, Washington and an audience in Moscow and Lewiston, Idaho, will now begin to tune in to the show.
